In 2006, the Escondida Educational Foundation created the School of Industrial Trades (Escuela de Oficios Industriales, EOI) aimed at developing competencies in individuals who wished to train to start a career in the mining industry.
The School of Industrial Trades trains workers in skilled trades, under the methodology of development of labor competencies, according to the mining qualifications framework, with certified instructors.
Our programs are taught with 70% practice and 30% theory, focused on training workers in real circumstances, with high standard infrastructure, committed to the internalization of safety aspects.
